Metris Energy<\/a>, an AI-native platform for managing energy assets, has raised $5 million
\nin a seed round led by PT1 Ventures<\/a>, Octopus Ventures<\/a>, AENU<\/a> and Blackfinch Ventures<\/a>, with participation from Plug and Play<\/a> and Love Ventures<\/a>. The round
\nbrings the company\u2019s total funding<\/a> to $7.5 million.<\/span><\/p>\n

Launched
\nin 2025, Metris initially focused on helping solar portfolio operators
\nreconcile data spread across inverters, meters, SCADA systems, CRMs,
\nspreadsheets and finance tools. The company has since expanded its focus,
\naiming to provide a unified data layer for the wider energy sector.<\/span><\/p>\n

Metris
\nis targeting the fragmented systems used by power producers to manage their
\nassets. As energy grids become more decentralised and revenue streams such as
\nflexibility, curtailment management, community energy and corporate PPAs
\nemerge, the data required to access and manage them is often spread across
\nmultiple systems.<\/span><\/p>\n

The
\ncompany\u2019s platform brings together data from asset systems, metering, SCADA,
\nGIS and energy markets to create a continuously updated record of physical
\nenergy assets. This gives asset owners a real-time view of their portfolios and
\nprovides the underlying data for automated workflows, natural-language queries,
\nrevenue management and AI agents.<\/span><\/p>\n

Alongside
\nthe funding, Metris has launched Metria AI, a new AI interface designed to
\nexecute complex tasks that were previously handled manually by operations
\nteams.<\/span><\/p>\n

Natasha Jones<\/a>, founder and CEO of Metris, said the company is addressing the lack of a
\nunified system that allows asset owners and AI agents to view and act on energy
\nportfolios.<\/span><\/p>\n

Metris
\nwas founded on the core belief that the winners of the energy transition won\u2019t
\nbe the owners of the most kW of capacity, but those who can view, control and
\nmonetise them best. There\u2019s no unified layer that lets asset owners, or the AI
\nagents now entering this space, actually see and act on their portfolio. That’s
\nthe gap we’re closing with Metris.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Metris
\nsays it has recorded eightfold year-on-year revenue growth and now manages more
\nthan 10,000 solar plants representing 500MW of capacity for power producers.<\/span><\/p>\n

The company will use the new funding to
\nexpand the platform\u2019s agentic capabilities and extend it into wind and Combined
\nHeat and Power (CHP) systems. Metris also plans to expand across Europe, with a
\nparticular focus on Germany, where it has already onboarded several new
\ncustomers.<\/span><\/p>\n
