Portuguese
space technology company Neuraspace has secured €15.6 million in new financing
to expand its AI-enabled Space Domain Awareness (SDA) and Space Traffic
Management (STM) capabilities. The financing combines strategic private
investment from Lince Capital, Explorer Investments and Armilar Venture
Partners with funding awarded under Portugal’s Recovery and Resilience Plan
(RRP).

Founded
in 2020 by Chiara Manfletti, Neuraspace develops an AI-powered platform that
helps commercial, institutional and defence satellite operators monitor and
manage increasingly complex space environments.

The
platform combines data from commercial and sovereign sensors with
high-precision orbit determination, AI-enabled risk and threat assessment, and
autonomous decision support to detect, assess and respond to collision risks,
cyber threats, radio-frequency interference, and other emerging space security
challenges.

The
investment comes as satellite operators face growing operational and security
challenges in an increasingly congested and contested space environment.
Alongside rising collision risks, operators must contend with cyberattacks,
GNSS spoofing and jamming, radio-frequency interference, and increasingly
sophisticated counterspace activities that require continuous monitoring and
rapid decision-making.

According
to Chiara Manfletti, CEO of Neuraspace, the company has expanded its mission
beyond making space safer to helping operators respond to both accidental and
intentional threats, as the distinction between safety and security continues
to narrow.

This
investment marks the beginning of Neuraspace’s next phase of growth as we
expand Europe’s sovereign capabilities in space domain awareness while
delivering the AI-enabled operational services required by the next generation
of commercial, institutional and defence missions.

The
funding will support the expansion of the company’s commercial and defence
capabilities through further development of its AI platform, accelerated
autonomous mission operations, and expansion of its proprietary optical sensing
infrastructure. It will also support continued investment in NeuraspaceDEF, the
company’s dual-use solution for government and defence customers.
